Yesterday morning during our monthly board meeting, ODM staff rushed in with noise makers, balloons, and cake to celebrate David Warren and Kim Sierra for their 20th Anniversary serving at Open Door! We are so grateful for their faithful service in building Christ's Kingdom here in urban Denver.
David and Michelle Warren first came to Denver in the mid 90's. Their desire to serve the poor and oppressed soon led them to a small church on East Colfax, Open Door Fellowship. In 1996 David and Michelle became the live-in directors of "Teen House," (now Chayah House) and David became Executive Director when Open Door Ministries was officially founded in 1997.
Kim and John Sierra began serving in the "Jesus Christ on Main Street" coffeehouse with Andy Cannon in the late 80's. Kim soon began working for Open Door Fellowship as a bookkeeper. John became the director of Providence 2 & 3 homes (now LightHouse) and John & Kim lived there and ministered to people in recovery. Kim stepped up as Business Director when ODM began in May of 1997.
We are so excited about our 20th Anniversary and want to invite you to join in the party! Mark your calendars for these important events:
